Accountant (Inventory Controller)

Job Responsibilities

  • Applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze inventory transactions, balances and financial information
  • To reflect the value of inventory on the balance sheet and related transactions on the P&L, creating other inventory related analyses and reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing tasks that include, account analysis, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, actual to forecast variance analysis, and preparation of various internal reports
  • Analyze inventory cost variances and other accuracy issues impacting perpetual inventory records
  • Develop a strong understanding of business, inventory flow and systems
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information
  • Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs, and wages, using pricing schedules, adding machines, calculators, or computers
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information
  • Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
  • Revise the inventories when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls
  • Prepares estimated costing for Holding Company and Group of Companies
  • Other duties assigned by Management

Requirements

  • B.Com, LCCI III or ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years’ experiences in Inventory Control of Trading Business
  • Excellent command of English (4 skills)
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), E-mail, Internet and Myanmar and English Typing
  • Able to use Accounting Software
  • Able to work under pressures and challenging situations
  • Able to work overtimes if required
